Scholarships

Travel Grants

TFMA offers a number of travel grants annually. Grant recipients are expected to provide a short summary of the trip in a future newsletter.

For presenters at ASFPM Annual Conference - 5 grants of up to $1000
For TFMA Conference - 5 grants of up to $1000 (For 2009 only, up to 10 grants are available due to economic conditions)

For an official of a small community to attend ASFPM Annual Conference - 1 grant of up to $2500

For the TFMA Floodplain Manager of the Year to attend the next year's ASFPM Annual Conference - 1 grant of up to $2500

Applications for grants are submitted to the TFMA Executive Office and are awarded by the Finance Committee based on need.

Educational Scholarships

TFMA has suspended our educational scholarship program for Board review following the 2007-2008 school year to clarify legal requirements for 501(c)(3) organizations.
